Yes, Go for the personal journey! :)

martial-arts-journey:

For the first time in my life, I actually feel like a martial artist. I think it’s because leaving Choy Li Fut and trying other styles has made me appreciate the differences and varieties out there, as well as how what I currently know works with the other styles. And I didnt realise how heavily…

Sick

Have had a bad sickness over the past few weeks and haven’t been on tumblr.  Come January I’ll be full-fledged posting about martial arts, music and whatever.  Don’t unfollow me! LOL jk do what you want.  :P

Music

I’ve decided I’m pick back up saxophone and practice more seriously.  There’s this saxophonist named Masato Honda who inspires me to do this.   He is just so good it makes no sense and I have fun listening to him.  And he sometimes picks up an EWI.  If you don’t know what that is look at the video below:

I would have been in Taiwan right now. Don’t get me wrong—I am ecstatic to be going to India—thrilled to have received this grant—excited for the future and grateful for the present..But I would be lying if I said there isn’t a tiny part of me longing to be in Taiwan right now. During those long…

AH, TAIWAN!!  I can’t wait to be back in Taiwan - I absolutely loved the experience…   *reminiscent sigh*  ….. I would love to see the professors and hostesses there again and visit the places I travelled to again.  That AND the next time I go I will be able to speak with everyone in Mandarin :P.  I actually was there in Summer 2010 as well.  Too bad we didn’t see each other :)

Need Rest

I need to sleep soon because I’m wrestling with some guys in the morning.  It’s going to be very fun I hope.  :D  It’s like, hey Travis, I know you’ve been here only for 14 days or so, but we’re going to have you wrestle some Chen Style Taijiquan guys who have been doing it for months….. and in a public park….  FINE BY ME!! :D  I love a challenge.

In Beijing City

In Beijing city (as opposed to the rural Fangshan district of the province). Will end up hanging out with my friend Amy tomorrow.  She’s doing an intensive Mandarin study at BNU over this summer. I’m very excited!!  But.. it’s time to put her language prowess to good use because I don’t know any Mandarin… lol.  We’ll be hanging out on BNU’s campus, so we probably won’t get too lost ;)
